Colorado Photographic Society is a non-profit membership group of photographers with skills in photography from ‘beginners’ who say ‘I know how to turn on my camera and I am ready to learn from the best’, to the advanced and professional photographers who not only want to teach and also share their skills with other photographers, and who want to take photography to another level. And those individuals with those special skills and who provide the material needed by the photographers to make the Final Image complete for all to Enjoy!
Colorado Photographic Society will promote each and every member’s images throughout Colorado by displaying the images of all members in a great variety of venues including exhibits, galleries and competitions. Each member is a volunteer in the Colorado Photographic Society, who practices ethical behavior both within the non-profit organization and in his or her community. Each member is known by the Image he or she presents.
Colorado Photographic Society will be a learning and teaching place for high school aged students to college students to adult students in photography. Some will make photography their profession, some will improve their personal skills in photography and all will take pride in developing their images, share their images with others and will support and team up with their fellow Colorado Photographic Society member to accomplish even greater deeds in Photography.
Colorado Photographic Society will attract both world renowned photographers to present programs of extraordinary delight to the volunteer members and to the general public throughout the communities of Colorado. Experienced photographic professionals from within the communities will display their skills and knowledge, and exude their insatiable desire to share their photographic images and techniques with each Colorado Photographic Society member and guest.
We are setting our foundation in Fort Collins, Greeley, Loveland, Longmont and the surrounding communities. And by 2011 our members will be in every corner of the Great State of Colorado, some will join us from Cheyenne and Laramie, Wyoming. We will use today’s technology to promote and display the Images of each of our members.
